Estate Manager

Graham started working for Leverhulme Estates in May 2005 as the General Manager: he was originally employed for one year and has never left.

Graham is responsible for the management of the Estate and is based in the Estate Office in Thornton Hough.  Having worked for many family estates before settling on Wirral he brings a wealth of experience to his role.

Graham is married to Alison, a volunteer fundraiser and they have a son Andrew, an Underwriter, and a daughter Charlotte, an Assistant Brand Manager.  His hobbies include gardening, walking, flat racing, architecture; classic cars and horology.

Head of Development Land and Planning

One of the country’s foremost land and planning advisors, Nigel works together with communities, landowners, local authorities, public and private companies and individuals to help create successful places. He specialises in legacy development – providing for the re-investment of proceeds into locally distinctive, sustainable communities.

Nigel’s experience has been gained through executive and non-executive board roles: as a neighbourhood planning advisor and examiner; as a Planning Inspector in England and in Jersey; and in local government, starting as a labourer for Blackburn Council and progressing as a town planner following graduation from the world’s first school of town planning – Liverpool University’s Department of Civic Design, launched in 1909 by a gift from William Lever (after he successfully sued the Daily Mail!)

Nigel advises the Blenheim Estate, Oxfordshire, which includes the Blenheim Palace World Heritage Site and is a Non-Executive Director of Trafford Housing Trust, an innovative provider of mixed tenure communities. He also sits on the Wesleyan Assurance MSS Fund Monitoring Committee and the Oxford Design Review Panel.

The day-to-day running of the Estate is managed by land agents Strutt and Parker, based in Chester.
